Welcome to Coding!

The best way to understand coding is to think of it as language used to give instructions in order to make something happen. This ties into computational thinking, which is essentially problem solving. Students will be training themselves to problem solve and give instructions and communicate in a way that makes something happen.

Where to start?

If you are feeling overwhelmed and unsure if you want to use or explore coding at all, then why not start small. Just try it and learn along with your students. Below are some resources to 'dip your toe' into coding without having to jump into the deep end...yet.

Don't forget to ask your students. They might already have some coding experience with coding and might be able to teach you as well.
